Background

My medical education, clinical training in nephrology, and previous postdoctoral research experience in hypertension, kidney disease, and molecular biology have given me an excellent background in medicine and biomedical research. As a research associate at the Department of Oncology at Georgetown University, I am working with Dr. Radoslav Goldman, a principal investigator, professor, and expert in liver, head, and neck cancers. The immediate focus of my professional goal is to successfully investigate the roles of endogenous heparan 6-O sulfatases that have recently been found to be aberrantly expressed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and other malignancies. I will conduct these studies in various human biological samples and experimental animal models.
