Background

I studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the Slovak Technical University and successfully finished my PhD studies in Molecular Biology at Slovak Academy of Sciences in Slovakia. I joined Dr. Goldman’s lab for a postdoctoral training to expand my expertise in analytical chemistry and mass spectrometry and implement biochemistry and molecular biology techniques into lab portfolio. I developed a strong interest in quantitative glycan analysis using chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques. After a specialized training in glycan analysis at CCRC, Athens, GA I improved lab glyco-analytical methods.  Later on, I was promoted to Research Specialist II and continued research in cancer related glycobiology. I started collaborative work for glycan analysis with Waters Corp, Milford, MA. I have an extensive expertise in lab administration, which contributed to my latest position as Scientific Laboratory Manager. I successfully maintain the operational flow of Dr. Goldman’s lab as well as Clinical and Translational Glycoscience Research Center (CTGRC), while continuing the research of human glycoproteins.
