Postdoc – Molecular Biologist/Biochemist

The laboratory of Dr. Goldman at the Clinical and Translational Glycoscience Research Center (CTGRC) Georgetown University, Washington, DC invites applications for a position of Molecular Biologist/Biochemist with an interest in cancer biology of heparan 6-O-endosulfatases. This person will carry out expression of the proteins for characterization of their interactions and function in vitro, in cell culture models, animal models, as well as translational studies of the glycoproteins in patient samples. Minimum requirements include a PhD degree and a productive publication record. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work independently, and work efficiently in a collaborative research environment. The projects are conducted in close collaboration with biochemist, mass spectrometrist, and informaticians at the CTGRC and in collaboration with other researchers at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
