Postdoc – Analytical Scientist

The laboratory of Dr. Goldman at the Department of Oncology and the Clinical and Translational Glycoscience Research Center (CTGRC), Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC invites applications for a postdoctoral position supported by NCI R01CA238455. We are looking for an analytical scientist with experience in mass spectrometry of proteins and interest in translational studies of the progression of liver fibrosis to hepatocellular carcinoma. This person will join an experienced team of mass spectrometrist, informaticians, and glycobiologist to optimize assays for non-invasive monitoring of the diseases and to study the mechanisms of the disease in cell culture models. Experience in protein biochemistry, chromatographic separations, and mass spectrometry of proteins on an Orbitrap Fusion Lumos (Thermo) is required; experience in glycoproteomics is helpful. Minimum requirements include a PhD degree and a productive publication record. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work independently, and work efficiently in a collaborative research environment.
